Flavia BARNA is Professor of Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timisoara and PhD Coordinator pursuing research on topics related to capital markets and insurance market. She has published in journals such as Economic Modelling, Applied Economics and Economic Computation and Economic Cybernetics Studies and Research.
Ovidiu BUNGET is Professor, PhD, Habil. at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timisoara – Head of Accounting and Auditing Department. He has a double degree in economics and law. Ovidiu is an accountant, financial auditor, tax advisor, member of the Romanian Association of Accounting. Ovidiu studied in Romania and France, being a graduate of the Institute of Economic and Accounting Techniques in Toulouse, France and took some courses on the issue of the International Accounting Standards of Social Sciences at the University of Lille; he also graduated in Romania postgraduate studies in the field of accounting expertise and assessments. Between 1994 and 2002 he worked for Coopers&Lyabrand (PricewaterhouseCoopers), participated in numerous audits (statutory and IAS), due diligence, reorganization and bankruptcy, accumulating expertise in the field of automotive industry, food and chemical industry. He teaches Accounting, Financial Audit and Financial control and has published many papers and articles in these areas and he is an approved teacher within the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR) and Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR). Also, he was involved in many research projects financed by EU or national funds.
Nicoleta FARCANE is Professor, PhD at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timisoara, Accounting and Auditing Department She teaches in the fields of international accounting, financial reporting standards, corporate governance and consolidation accounting techniques. She has a PhD in management at University of Nizza (1993-1997) and a PhD in accounting at West University of Timisoara (1992-1998).
She is member of several professional bodies, including CECCAR (the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania), CAFR (Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania), CCF (Chamber of Fiscal Advisors in Romania). Nicoleta is a long standing reviewer and member in the editorial boards of multiple journals (among which The Journal of Accounting and Management Information Systems, Review of Economic and Business Studies Analele Universitatii 1 Decembrie Alba Iulia, Analele Universitatii din Oradea, Analele Universitatii din Targu Mures). During the years, she published many articles and books on various research topics.
Camelia HAȚEGAN is Professor PhD Habil. at Department of Accounting and Audit at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timisoara, Romania and from February 2018 is PhD Supervisor in accounting domain. Her current research focuses on accounting, financial and non-financial reporting, financial auditing and entrepreneurship in the accounting profession. She has presented a great number of papers of this field in scientific journals and conference proceedings. She has been participating in multiannual grants as director or a member.
Gabriela MIRCEA is the Director ECREB. She is Professor Ph.D. Habil. of Economic Informatics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timisoara, Romania. The main direction of the research field is related to the study of mathematical models from economy and computer science. She has conducted researches in Mathematics and Computer Sciences and has published extensively in prestigious journals. The ability to manage the research teams is proved by the tenure as project manager or as a member in numerous research projects. Also, she is a member of numerous Scientific Committees of International Conferences and a reviewer for prestigious international ISI and BDI journals. The autonomy of the research activity is reflected by the outcome materialized in 10 books, over 100 articles in ISI and BDI journals and over 300 citations in ISI and BDI journals.
Miruna NĂCHESCU is currently working as Associate Professor, PhD at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timișoara. She is the Chief of Staff for the Rector’s Office. In addition, she is responsible for the Erasmus Programs in the Finance Department.
Miruna’s main fields of teaching are Corporate Finance and Capital Markets. She has authored or co-authored 8 books and more than 50 scientific papers, as part of different research teams. Her main research interests are in Corporate Finance, Restructuring of companies, Capital Markets and Economic Growth. She is member of several professional and scientific associations. Moreover, she is the assistant editor of the Journal of Heterodox Economics, and has been in the scientific board of many conferences and journals. In practice, she has worked as an economist, CFO in local or national companies, as well as consultant in financial management, taxation and investments.
Grațiela NOJA is an Associate Professor at the West University of Timisoara (Romania), Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Department of Marketing and International Economic Relations. Her main research and teaching activities are developed within the framework of Economics and International Business area, with a focus on World Economy, Globalization and European economic integration. Moreover, international labour migration is a keen research interest pursued by Gratiela on her main scientific papers. She completed her studies at West University of Timisoara, respectively PhD in Economics, Master in Management and European integration, BA in International Economic Relations. In addition, she was Visiting Researcher at the University of East Anglia (UEA), School of Economics and has a wide membership in various educational organisations/ research associations.
Iulia PARA is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, the West University of Timisoara in the Marketing and International Economic Relations Department. Her field of expertise and interest is mainly related to applied linguistics in business, business translations and teaching English for specific purposes (English for accounting, business, economics, finance and banking, management, marketing). She has been teaching courses and classes of Business English, Business Communication, Business Correspondence, Intercultural communication since 2006. She is an active member of the Timisoara Journal of Economics and Business (TJEB) as language editor, as well as a reviewer and proof-reader for other journals.
Ioana VĂDĂSAN is Associate Professor at the West University of Timisoara, Romania, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. She teaches Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and European Economics. Between September 2010 and August 013, she has been the holder of the Jean Monnet Teaching Module “European Economics. Economic Integration”. Since 2011, she is Visiting Professor at the University of Nice – Sophia Antipolis, France. Her research areas are Economics, European Economics and Economic Integration. She is a member of the PGV Network (Les Pays du Groupe de Vysegrad), as well as of the Romanian Association for Regional Sciences.
