About the Speaker:
Dr. Monica M. Sârghie completed her MBA at Dalhousie University and earned her PhD from the University of Alberta in Canada. Her work has been published in top-tier marketing journals, such as the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Marketing Research, and the Journal of Strategic Marketing.
Her core expertise lies in Consumer Behavior and Social Marketing. Yet, her research adopts an interdisciplinary lens, bridging domains such as Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Management, Economics, and the Social Sciences — particularly Sociology, Psychology, and Linguistics. Her current research agenda addresses the implications of (over)consumption for individual and societal well-being, economic sustainability, and climate change.
